Rockstar’s dedicated preload FAQ says digital GTA VI preloading begins on 10 November: midnight local time on PS5, and 00:00 GMT worldwide on Xbox Series X|S.

The FAQ recommends enabling automatic downloads or updates and leaving the console in the appropriate powered-on or rest/sleep state. Follow the linked platform instructions for your machine’s settings.

Which clock should you use?

Our advice: pick your platform first, then translate the applicable clock into your own time zone. Sharing a universal “midnight” message would make the Xbox and PlayStation instructions look more similar than they are.

A date conflict to check

Some older general preorder and edition pages still show November 12. For preload planning, we follow the dedicated 3 November FAQ and record the older conflicting wording rather than quietly rewriting its history. Recheck the console storefront before arranging your download.
