Will Rockstar Remove GTA VI Story Videos? The Policy Is More Specific
Unofficial fan project. Not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
Rockstar’s video policy generally permits noncommercial fan uses that do not deliberately spoil major plot elements. It identifies prerelease leaked footage, isolated cinematics and certain story-spoiler compilations as material it may remove.

A playthrough is a different case
The policy distinguishes cutscenes inside a larger playthrough or narrated Let’s Play from isolated cinematic uploads. It also reserves Take-Two’s ability to request removal. That is more specific than saying every GTA VI story video is banned.

Why the date matters
This page explains a policy last updated on 10 January 2025. It does not present that policy as a brand-new November 2026 announcement or a newly discovered blanket ban.

Before you upload
Read the complete current policy and your hosting platform’s rules. Our practical recommendation is to keep unreleased material and major reveals out of thumbnails and titles. This article is a reading guide, not a licence or a promise that an upload will stay online. It contains no leaked footage or plot examples.
